DEEPER LIFE BIBLE CHURCH WORLDWIDE.

TUESDAY'S LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MESSAGE.

Date: 05/12/2023

MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.

TOPIC: THIS DAY IS THE DAY.

TEXT: LUKE 4:18-21; JOHN 14:10-12,20-23.

We thank God for a good day. We are talking about the day, that day, this day, and we want to bring everything together, that that day is this day. We are talking about the day, in the Bible, there are many times of day.

I. There's a day of promise. It was a special day in the life of Abraham when God promised him the land here and there.

II. There is the day of prophecy.

Genesis 3:15 was a day of prophecy. In Genesis 15, when God prophesied about the nation of Israel, it was a day of prophecy. In Isaiah 61, God promised that He would send Christ, and He would come in the power of heaven.

III. There's the day of power. When the Red Sea was opened, it was a day of power. When those children of Israel crossed the red sea on their way to the land of Canaan, it was a day of power. When Christ appeared in Israel and healed the sick and delivered the oppressed, it was a day of power.

Iv. There's the day of performance. When all the promises of the past and the prophecies of the past are fulfilled, it's a day of performance.

V. There's the day of punishment. There's a future day coming when God shall examine the work of all men, and the Lord shall recompense everyone according to what they have done.

Christ had come to earth in the fulfilment of the prophecy that the Messiah would come. He was born of a Virgin according to prophecy, He lived the sinless life according to prophecy, then this day He appeared before John, He was baptized in water, the Father spoke from heaven concerning Him, Jesus went through the temptation in the wilderness and He overcame. Jesus read from the book of Isaiah the prophet concerning Him. It was a day of performance. He was to preach and proclaim good works that the Lord will perform in the book of Isaiah. People were wondering about what He had read, that was a word of Isaiah, prophesied that the Messiah would come, it was prophecy. Now, the performance because Jesus said the Spirit of the Lord is upon Him, people gazed at Him, and He began to say unto them, this day is the day of fulfilment of the prophecy. That day had become this day, prophecy had come to performance. The reality of what God had planned has now arrived. That's what we are talking about. The prophecy had been given, and now, for the believers, that day becomes this day. If you read all the promises in the Bible, and you see the manifestation of power, and you relegate everything to that day, and you do not recognize that for you that day has become this day, you will never taste the power of God. For the sinners, that day of promise and prophecy is fulfilled, the sinners must realize the fulfilment of that day, and they will be saved. For the Saints of God, that day of promise comes today, and we want to claim the promises of that day, and we realize the fulfilment of performance becomes this day. For the servants of God that have the prophecy of God, they realize the day of performance today is the fulfilment of the day of prophecy, He makes this day the fulfilment of that day. Once you get that, power will flow into your life, there will be performance in your soul, and you can go anywhere in the country. There will be manifestation of power in your ministry. This day is the day.

VI. There's the day of Pentecost. A realization came to them that day. You must come to a realization in your life that this day is that day Jesus spoke about. That's the reason Peter and John came to the gate of the temple in Jerusalem at the hour of prayer, that was not the first time they will go to the temple, they have seen lamed people before the day of Pentecost, but because that day is this day, they got the power. Because the realization had done on Peter, he told the lame man to look on him, and he said silver and gold have I none, the day had come and so he could say, silver and gold have I none, in the Name of Jesus rise up and walk. He couldn't say that on the day they arrested JESUS, he couldn't say that at the garden of Gethsemane, he couldn't say that when JESUS was being taken away to be crucified, but he could say that because the day of performance had come for him. I pray God will open your eyes that you will know this day is that day, the day of power in your life, a day of performance in your life and a day when all those promises reading about you will be fulfilled in your life.

POINT ONE. THE FULFILLED DAY OF HIS GREAT ANOINTING

We talk about God first, He is all in all. And when you talk about Him, you understand everything that was written concerning Him was fulfilled, and because you're following the Lord now, everything written concerning you will be fulfilled. As we hear the word of Christ, as we read the words of Christ, as we see His understanding of this day for Himself.

I. That day of fulfilment for Christ.

Isaiah 11:1,2,10; 61:1-2; Luke 4:18,21; 24:44.

Christ came, and He knew that everything written concerning Him must be accomplished. The day Isaiah, that prophecy is the day of prophecy. The day that Jesus appeared in Jordan, and the Spirit of the Lord came as a dove upon Him and rested on Him, that's the day of performance of this prophecy. The Spirit of wisdom and understanding was rested upon Him. That was the day of performance of this prophecy. Ten lepers came to Him, He counselled them to go and show themselves to the priests, He didn't teach them theology, He didn't explain anything, He did not even quote the prophecy of Isaiah, and while they were going, all of them were cleansed. That was the day of performance. Everywhere He went, there were mighty deeds, miracles showed up on Him, it was the day of prophecy and the day of performance. The Spirit of knowledge was upon Him, at the age of 12, He was preaching, no chill of that age every discussed with those doctors of law, they were surprised at His knowledge. There was the day of prophecy, and there was the day of performance. And then He had the fear of the Lord that made Him do all things as Father has commanded. That was the day of fulfilment in Christ.

II. The dwelling of the Father in Christ.

John 14:10-11; 17:23; Acts 10:38; John 8:28-29.

For the day to be fulfilled, for the prophecy to be fulfilled, the Father was present with Him, in Him, by Him every moment of His day here on earth. Many times, Christ said He's not alone. He knew the presence and the dwelling of the Father with Him all the time. He did everything by the power of God that dwells in Him. Everything He did was a will of the Father. He forgave sins, He healed the sick, He raised the dead, He destroyed the works of the devil, that's the will of the Father. Jesus is the expression of the will of God, He did everything on the basis of the will of God, all He said, all the power manifestations in his life, all the will of God. Jesus changes not, and the will of the Father from all eternity is the will of God today, and it'll be the will of God in all eternity. That's why he's had all the grace and power to do what He did, that's why He faced the Pharisees because He knew He's not alone, the Father was with Him and He went about doing good because the Father is with Him. The Pharisees were angry when JESUS healed on the Sabbath day because the Father is dwelling in Him, and so despite the Pharisees and despite all those enemies of the work of Christ, He went everywhere doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with Him. No other man on earth had the privilege that God will be with them and dwell with them every day of their lives, no other man, that's why we believe in Christ, He's special, He's unique, no other like Christ in the history of humanity. And when you come to Christ, the Father will dwell in you, Christ, and the Holy Ghost will dwell in you. There's no other type of worship in the whole wide world when God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost will dwell in the heart of any man, it's only the privilege you have as you come to Christ

III. The deeds in fullness by Christ.

Mark 7:37; Colossians 1:9-10; Ephesians 3:19-21

He did everything without anything diminished or subtracted. Jesus never said he couldn't, what Jesus did, no man in history can do that, Jesus completed everything, He never said no to any challenge. Elijah had to lay flat on that dead child and pray and pray. But when JESUS got to the tomb of Lazarus, He rolled away the stone, and He called Lazarus. No man has ever called the name of the dead man who has been dead for four days and expects that man to rise. Only JESUS could do that. He knew Lazarus was dead for four days. He called his name, and He gave him the commandment to come forth. Nobody ever commanded a dead man who was dead for four days to get up. When you are thinking of the deeds of power, it is all in Christ in fullness. You are alive, but maybe you are locked up in the door of fear, Jesus comes to you there, He knows your name and He call you to come forth, you will come forth and your life will never remain the same again as you respond to the commandment of God IN Jesus Name. We serve the Christ who is able to save, able to make holy, able to change our lives for the better, able to empower us, able to do make us do what we are created to do. No other spiritual authority on earth, apart from Christ, is able to do anything we ask. Even what we are thinking that we have not asked, no other person can do all that we ask or think, only Christ Jesus does that. The activities and the performance of the Lord Jesus go far above and away from anything any man could do on earth. That power of Jesus is working in us. As the power of God worked in Christ, that power works in the believers.

POINT TWO. THE FRUITFUL DAY OF OUR GROWING ADVANCE.

We start on a journey, and we are moving on on a journey. In the Old Testament, they got tied on the middle of the way, Moses was tired, in the New covenant, with Christ in us, with the Spirit of God in us, with the Father dwelling in us, we move on, we advance. Everything that was fulfilled in Christ is going to be fulfilled in the believers, we keep on bearing fruit older we grow because the day of promise and the day of prophecy will be the day of performance and the day of power.

I. The decisive day of Christ in man.

John 14:20-23; Revelation 3:19-20; Galatians 2:20; Colossians 1:27.

The day of the decision is in your hand. It's our decision, Zacchaeus heard that Jesus was passing. He was a little of stature, and he could have said the crowd was too much, but he didn't say that. Your decision will determine your destiny, your decision determines your dominion, your decision determines your deliverance, if you give excuses, you will be excused, if Zacchaeus has made excuses that he can not, he will not. When you say you can not, your background, your shame will not allow you. If you say you cannot, you cannot. But Zacchaeus used whatever he could get his hands on to get to Jesus. If you are willing to forget how rich you are, how popular you are, if you're willing to forget how many people know you in town, and you can do the unthinkable, and you take a decision and you do whatever it will takes so that you can have a place in Christ, if you're so eager like Zacchaeus and forget your position and everything you have on earth just to see Christ, He will give you Heavenly attention. Nothing on earth hinders you or anyone from having this decision in Christ, except you're not willing to do all it takes so that you will meet Christ. Jesus saw Zacchaeus, He will see you today, Jesus had never met zacchaeus, and He called him by name. Remember, no other person like Christ who did not live in their town and yet knew his name and knew his nature, and he the point where he was on the tree,  only JESUS can do that. Spiritual thing demands haste, if you're at ease, there's no promise that you will see Him, He will not come back by that road anymore, make haste because this is the decisive day that Jesus gives salvation to sinners. Every man has his day. We have our day, but make sure you don't miss God on that decisive day. That's how many people miss out. They do not know the day of visitation, and because of that, it escapes them forever. Make this day your decisive day of Christ in you.

II. The daily dominion of man in Christ.

John 14:20; 15:4-7; 2 Corinthian 5:17; Romans 8:1-2,37.

Adam surrendered us to defeat, he surrendered us to impotence, Adam sold us into slavery, no power, no courage, no strength, no ability, and we are clenching before the powers that being. And Christ came to lift us up so that as we decide for Christ, He gives us dominion. He takes away from us the slavery that Adam got us unto. Now He brings His dominion upon our lives. In Christ, through Christ, for Christ, by Christ, now we have a daily dominion for man in Christ. For those disciples in the book of Acts, every day had a day of demonstration of the power of God in them. As Jesus came into them, He never took leave, He never took vacation, as the Holy Ghost came on them on the day of Pentecost, he never took vacation. And because of the presence of Christ and the presence of Holy Ghost in them, everyday add a manifestation of the supernatural. You come to Christ, and Christ lives in you, everyday you have a mention of His Name, and that Name will give you dominion, and you will become a new man. When you are working in the energy of the flesh, your emotion is up, your feeling is down, your motivation is down on and on like that, but when Christ lives in us He makes us growing everyday, you will be advancing gradually and certainly in your life IN Jesus Name. If you're in Christ, you are a new creature, old past life passed away, old undulating graph passed away, and behold, all things are become new. The advance we make, the growth we have, the joy we have, the happiness we have, whatever the circumstances around us, the old life used to be up and down, happy and depressed, angry and grateful, poor and rich, smiling and frowning, the old life was unstable life, you couldn't predict and the mood changes with the weather, but now we come to Christ and Christ lives in us, and the Holy Spirit lives in us, and the promises of the Bible are yes and Amen in our lives, and we face life with faith, with hope and love, we don't angry at anybody, whatever is happening is the devil, then we take the issue up to the devil and we remind the devil that in our lives he's under our feet because he's under Christ's feet. The old life will fight man, the old life is full of complaints, the old life is full of criticism, full of dejection, full of regrets, then we have a little window, we can smile but that little window is closed and we are back to the rejection and distress, but Christ in us, the hope of glory makes all things become new, and the Christ that lives in you will make your life new IN Jesus Name.

III. The dynamic demonstration of men in Christ.

Acts 1:8; John 14:12-17,26-27; 15:7-8,16; 16:7-13.

As we come to Christ, and He lives in us, and He works in us, we carry dynamite everywhere we go, we carry power everywhere we go because it's a dynamic demonstration abides in us everytime. And it is for all men that have JESUS in them, and that were united in Christ every day of their lives. Demonstration will do wonders in your life, it will do everything for you, God has something to give to everyone on earth, He demonstrates in our lives, then He sends us forth as the people that will show the demonstration to our neighbours, this is the peace, power, joy and lifetime happiness Christ can give us. We promote the commodity of the Kingdom, distress, stress, tiredness, killing one's cells is the commodity of the devil, discouragement, despair, that's not the wares and the commodity of Christ who died for us, it's the commodities of the devil, he has all these things, why are you a sales man for Christ and for the devil at the same time? Everyday dynamic, everyday happy, joyful, every new day there's a miracle, there's a new answer and there's a new demonstration of what Christ does in the believer. The believer wakes up in the morning and commits his way to the hand of God. The believer is encountering a new experience, and in this new experience, he believes in Christ. Believer has the threatening of Nebuchadnezzar, with any new experience, any new things that come from the left or right hand side, if you believe in Christ, you will cross the bridge. We are going to sleep in the night, what will happen at night, we will cross the bridge when we get there because now we believe. Everything you need to do, you will do. Greater than what you did in the past, you will do. The people who think the old good age has come and gone, they don't believe, but the people who know these are greater and better days, they will do greater works in Christ. The Lord fulfil in your life, no day of depression anymore, noday of being downthroden anymore, we are entering into the day of His power. Remember, this day is that day, the day of prophecy is becoming the day of performance. The day of promise is becoming the day of power.

POINT THREE. THE FINAL DAY OF HIS GLORIOUS APPEARING.

2 TIMOTHY 4:8; TITUS 2:13-14.

Christ is coming again, and when He comes, He will be looking for you. Christ promised that He's coming, and He will come. He's coming for us. There are people who say He's coming for the church, and they didn't say He's coming for them.

I. The great day of the revelation of Christ.

Matthew 23:36-42; Luke 21:34-36; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-4; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12.

If you're the only believer in your time, you are the church in your time. If you're the only believer in the community, you're the church in that community, and when you say Christ is coming for the church, you mean He's coming for you because you're looking at that blessed day of the glorious appearance of the great Lord Jesus Christ and you will not be lost in the crowd, Christ is coming for you because He's coming for the peculiar people. If you believe in God you can not see, people will say you are peculiar. Jesus will come back and take you to a beautiful mansion you've never seen before because you are peculiar.

II. The gloomy day of recompense by Christ.

Joel 2:1-2; Isaiah 13:9-13; Romans 2:5,16; Acts 17:30-31.

Christ is coming back, and when He comes, He will be calling your name, He will be looking for you, the magnet of heaven will magnetize you up and the force of gravity will loose you, and you will go up and up and you will not come down anymore, and then the angels will be waiting at the gate to welcome you because you believed in Jesus. I rejoice with you that we will see Him at His coming.

III. The glorious day of rewards from Christ.

2 Timothy 4:7-8; Titus 2:13-14; 2 Thessalonians 1:10; Revelation 22:12-17.

We will go with Him at His coming, and He that has this hope in Him purifies Himself even as He is pure.
