TOPIC: ALWAYS PRAYING AND ASKING IN FAITH, NOTHING WAVERING.

TEXT: JAMES 1:5-8

Tonight we are looking at James 1:5, here the scriptures says, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.

1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Whether we are asking for wisdom, or we are asking for salvation, or we are asking for the fulfilment of the promises of God, whether we are asking for the will of God in marriage, or we are asking for anything human resources cannot provide for us, whatever our need may be, we should always ask in prayer and faith, nothing wavering.

POINT 1. THE FULLNESS OF PETITIONERS PRAYING WITHOUT WAVERING.

JAMES 1:5.

We are asking as petitioners, and we ask according to the faithfulness of God without wavering. The Lord is impartial, He says if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask from God. If you're a child of God, you are included, if you are a sinner, God has promised us forgiveness, salvation, He promised us righteousness coming from Calvary and coming to our lives, and all sinners are free to come, God gives us liberally, He doesn't challenge us, He doesn't question us for coming this time, there's no chastisement or rebuke, He gives us liberally, what a glorious promise and what a glorious confidence you ought to have, it shall be given you!

I. Wisdom for holy living through the prayer of faith.

James 3:13,17; Isaiah 11:2-3,5; Ephesians 5:15-17; Colossians 4:5-6.

If you lack wisdom to live, wisdom to interact, if you lack wisdom to operate, if you lack wisdom for holy living, wisdom to overcome temptations, and ask from God through the prayer of faith. There's a wisdom from beneath, that one doesn't give us the Power and the ability to live a Holy life, there's wisdom that comes horizontally from the people that lives on the ground and they live by the the strength of the power of earth, but there's a wisdom that comes from God and everything that comes from God will be pure, the wisdom, the knowledge, the devotion, the understanding, the ability that comes from God will be pure. The wisdom of God is as peaceful as that of a source of wisdom. The wisdom that comes from above is as impartial as the God who gives that wisdom, the wisdom that comes from the above is as honest without hypocrisy, the wisdom that comes from above is the wisdom that made Christ to live alway pleasing God is without hypocrisy. The wisdom that the Lord is asking from us to pray for is a wisdom that retains the fear of the Lord. We are citizens of the Kingdom of God, and we have the wisdom that comes from above, and as we are living here on earth, we walk perfectly, and we walk circumspectly. As you get the wisdom from God, you redeem the day because the days are full of evil. Live with wisdom. Walk in wisdom. You are in the community where you meet with different people, walk in wisdom. Whatever project you want to lay your hands upon, walk in wisdom. Whatever decision you are planning to do, walk in wisdom, don't broadcast your project, walk in wisdom, those who walk in wisdom don't talk too much, they have the wisdom to direct them and to intruct them, they are not impatient, they are slow to talk, they are slow to judge, they talk less. Do less talking, do more planning. Life is free, and time is short, and life is brief. Walk in wisodm and redeeming the time. What you have to get done is do everything in wisdom, redeem your time, and walk in wisdom.

II. Wealth of higher love by possessors of faith.

1 Peter 3:7; Deuteronomy 17:15-19; 1 Kings 11:1-9. Proverbs 14:1.

When we have faith, we have the wealth of wisdom, and we have the wealth of higher love. If we talk foolishly, if we talk without thinking deeply, if we talk without understanding the feeling, the emotion in which our partner feels, we might be hindering our own prayers and progress. Even in the church, we need wisdom before choosing anyone to be a leader. Choose your director, your leader, and your pastor from the congregation of chosen people of God. Whoever you choose as your leader must be among the children of God, sanctified, spirit filled, and that leader must not lead the nation back to Egypt, and he will not multiply curses. Whatever king you chose, he will not be a polygamist. He will not be a man who multiplies wives. There's one man in the Bible, he's credited with great wisdom, when he prayed, he asked for wisdom to lead and to guide people but he didn't pray for wisdom to live a life of holiness internally and intensely, and God gave him the wisdom to lead a nation, there's a kind of wisdom he didn't have, he didn't have the wisdom of the scriptures that will guide his activities, his name is Solomon. He had a wisdom to lead a nation, he didn't have the wisodm of the scriptures, he had the wisdom of organization, administration, rulership, governing the nation, but the wisdom that will prepare him for the Kingdom of God, preserve him for ghe kingdom of God and make him obedience to the word of God in details, that he didn't have. We can only have that by reading the word of God. If we only concentrate on the wisdom of organization, on the wisdom to rule over people, but we are not having morning devotion, we are not reading the Bible and the daily manna that contains the word of wisdom to details, and we don't read the devotional book, we cannot get this kind of wisdom. Wisdom that is higher than whatever we have got, the Lord will bestow upon us today. Solomon had the wisdom external and wisdom for management, but he didn't have the wisdom to live a life pleasing unto God, so God was angry with him because his heart was turned from the Lord.

III. Walk with Heavenly light and patience of faith.

Psalms 119:105,130; John 8:12; Ephesians 5:8-15; 1 John 1:5-7.

Whatever we have, bible knowledge and light are not shining on your pathway. You will not see. But when you see, you will be able to avoid all the pitfalls. The word of God is a light. We need that light coming from God, the word of God that gives us wisdom, God is light, and when we walk in that light, we walk honestly, we walk justly, and we walk patiently. The word of God is a light, and it gives us understanding. We can have that divine light in the word of God. It's the scripture of truth. There's no darkness at all in God. If we say we have fellowship with God and walk in darkness, we lie and do not do the truth. Darkness is the knowledge of the world, darkeness is the advice of the world, is the pattern of the world, is the ideologies that comes from the devil' the prince of darkness, whatever comes from Satan through the people of the world is darkness.

POINT 2. THE FAILURE OF PEOPLE PAUPERIZED BY WAVERING.

JAMES 1:6-8.

Some people are not possessing because they waver. The person that is being tossed by the winds of the external forces that drives people, external opinion that dazzles confuse them, they cannot be able to think from their inner strength, they shall not receive anything from the Lord. A double minded man has two minds, one mind looks at the scripture, the other mind looks at the things around, he's up and down, and he sees everything happening down below and he says he cannot be victorious. He looks at the temptation around, and he thinks he can not overcome what he he used to overcome him. He has a double mind. He tries to have the mind of Christ, but on the other hand, the mind of the carnal pulls him down. He doesn't have trust in God again. A double minded man is unstable in prayer. He's unstable in everything that he tries to do, and because of the instability and doublemindedness, he's a failure in life in every area of life that matters.

I. The fatal tossing of driven, distracted minds.

James 1:6; Psalms 107:25-27.

If you allow the things around you, things people say, pressure of people, what people do, what people say, if you allow that to distract you, there will be failure. Those who wavers don't have conviction. And sugarcoated talkers come to him and tell him the deepest lie anyone has never told, but he doesn't discern that this is a fatal lie to jolt him, and to make his life without profit, such people without steadfast conviction never get anything in life. People who go so high because the situation goes up can not receive anything. You can't depend on them because from the very moment of that aspiration, they have deep depression, you can't know what they can do, they do not have an anchor for their souls, they do not have Christ the solid Rock we can climb our feet, they are up and down, they don't have experience of salvation, they do not have the experience that makes them steadfast in the rock of ages, they are distracted and driven, this year you will be different, your life will be different, all the winds distracting and displacing you, anything like that will not have any effect upon your life IN Jesus Name.

II. The fruitless toiling of doubting, disbelieving men.

1 Timothy 2:8; John 20:24-29; Hebrews 3:17-19; 4:1-3.

The people that go to mountain and pray, the only challenge they have is that they are not people of confidence faith in God that will notstaggered at any problem, they don't know the God they are praying to, they don't have faith that is anchored in Christ. There are challenges that no human solution can be provided for. That's why, anywhere, everywhere we are, that we pray everywhere without wrath and doubting. Many people pray with anger in their hearts, they will not obey the words of Christ that we forgive those who have trespassed against us, when you come to prayer, forgive anyone that has offended you, but if you carry wrath, unforgiving spirit to the place of prayer you are causing hindrances to your prayers and progress. Unbelief will not allow us to inherit the promises of God. The Kingdom of God, for anyone to enter, you must be born again and you have to have faith in God, follow peace with all men and holiness without which no one shall see the Lord, to enter into the Kingdom of God, to make it at the time of the rapture, we must believe, we must have holiness and follow peace with all men. We must have the power of the Holy Ghost that makes us do the work of God in great power, which is the possibility of entering into the promised land. To enter into such abundant life, we need faith.

III. The fearful toll on drifting, double-minded minglers.

Psalms 106:35,39,43; 78:8,36-37; Hosea 7:8-11; 10:2,12.

Those mimglers could not achieve what they set out to achieve because they mingle with the heathen. If you identify with a deeper life and identify with shallow life out there, your heart will be divided, and you will have a double mind. If you mingle with people who say they can not have victory here on earth and they argue, because you're a mingler, you will not have the victory you ought to have. It's when you come out them among them and you accept and possess the promises of God, and you're steadfast and claim the promises of God for righteous living and for powerful, progressive, purposeful living, those are the people that have the goodness of the Lord overflowing in their lives, but the people of double mind, their minds is divided and they cannot have the goodness of God. A rain of righteousness, a rain of resurrection Power, a rain of victory in every life IN Jesus Name

POINT 3. THE FAITH OF POSSESSORS, PRAYING AND PREVAILING NOTHING WAVERING.

JAMES 1:6.

The people that possess the manifestation of the goodness of God. Whatever you are asking for, ask in faith. If you're asking for salvation, asking for redemption, asking for heaven kind of righteousness, asking for healing, asking for the fulfilment of the promises of God, asking for the power and possibility, and stability, and continuity of earnestly upholding the faith once delivered unto the Saints, ask in faith. Whatever you're asking for, ask in faith. A person that want to earnest defend the faith in the midst of any situation here on earth, he must have the faith that is steadfast, he must have the faith that will not look here and there, the Lord has promised and given us assurance. If you ask in faith and you ask because of the faithfulness of God, you will receive.

I. Faith in the faithfulness of God.

Hebrews 10:23; 11:11-12; 6:12,18-19; Titus 1:2.

We are able to ask in faith because God is faithful. He has promised us eternal life, everlasting life, resurrection life, renewed life, transformed life, righteous life, let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering. Everything He promised, He had the power to do, He has the foresight he was going to do it, He has the power to fulfil everything and because He cannot lie, because He's faithful, we can trust and depend on Him.

II. Faith in the fervency of   the godly.

James 5:15-16; 1 Kings 18:21,25-39.

The prayer of faith given tonight will heal the sick IN Jesus' Name. The prayer of Faith will touch the sicks and heal them IN Jesus' Name. The prayer of Faith by the prophets of God, by the united congregation together, will heal the sick IN Jesus' Name. It's effectual fervent prayer of a righteous church that avail much, not dull prayer, not a kind of prayer that the mind is not there, the effectual fervent prayer of righteous man avail much. It's not dull prayer. It is not dossing and sleeping prayer, its fervent prayer. Our prayer will avail much tonight IN Jesus' Name.  Whatever the weakness, whatever the sickness, whatever the challenge, it'll drive everything away IN Jesus' Name.

III. Faith through the furtherance of the gospel.

Romans 10:13-17; 1:16-17.

Everywhere we take the gospel to, we go with faith, and the faith will produce positive results in Jesus' Name. Faith, healing, help, miracle, furtherance through the gospel will bring down the rain of righteousness, the rain of miracles upon everyone IN Jesus' Name. Whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be strengthened, power, revival, solution to every problem from on high upon us together.
