MESSAGE BY OUR FATHER IN THE LORD, PASTOR W F KUMUYI
TOPIC: THE SPIRITUAL DYNAMICS OF TOTAL RECOVERY
TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 30:6-8
• 6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
• 7 And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.
• 8 And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
Recovering what we have lost brings joy, new life, new drive, determination, sense of fulfillment, and a source of inner strength and courage to begin life again. David and his men lost all that was precious to them which brought sorrow, emptiness, discouragement, disorientation, inner turmoil and total exhaustion.
Just wishing cannot solve the problem, David went to the Lord in prayer, asking if he should pursue, and if he would be able to recover all. God told him to pursue, that he will overtake them and also recover all. Understand that David did not fold his hands, helplessly and hopelessly mourning his fate but he prayed to God in heaven. Whatever has happened in your life, you must also believe that there is God in heaven. All the things you have lost will come back, including your blessings. All. No part of your life, family, blessing or possession will be in the hands of the enemies in Jesus name. Amen.
Tonight is your night, a night of total recovery. You have cried and have been sorrowful enough. The time of sorrow, dejection and regret has come to an end. Joy, laughter and abundance has come. David prayed, pursued, prevailed and recovered all. As you pray and believe, you will recover all. As we pray, you will prevail, and every lost in your life, job, business and ministry will be fully recovered.
2 Kings 5:1-7
• 1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
• 2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
• 3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
• 4 And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
• 5 And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
• 6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
• 7 And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
Naaman was a mighty man of valor but all the victory became nothing. He had riches, wealth, national position and recognition but he was a leper. The maid of his wife revealed to her mistress that there was a prophet in Samaria who could cure him of his leprosy. All diseases and problems you have been carrying around that has become a reproach will be rolled away.
Naaman made the mistake of going to the king instead of the prophet, but at the end, the mistake was nullified. Whatever mistake you have made will be corrected. You will come back to where you ought to be for full recovery in Jesus name. By being in the presence of God today, all your mistakes are corrected.
vs 7-10. When the king of Israel read the letter Naaman brought, he tore his clothes and was angry, assuming that the king of Syria wanted to war with him. But there is now war, as long as you left your home and came to the presence of God, you will know the power of God. But Prophet Elisha sent to the king to send Naaman to him and he would know that there is a prophet in Israel. You also will know tonight that there is a Prophet in Gbagada. So, Naaman came with his entourage to Elisha’s house and the prophet did not bother to come out to see him but sent a message that he should go and wash in the pool of Jordan seven times.
vs 11. This angered Naaman, he complained bitterly about the quality of the river, he thought Elijah will come out, pray to his God and hit the spots of the leprosy, and he made to go away in anger. Don't mind the anger and arguments, after all that, the miracle will come. Naaman's anger did not stop the miracle, whatever you do or did not do will not hinder you tonight.
vs 13-14. But his servant persuaded him to obey the prophet and as soon as he washed seven times, he became whole with his skin like that of a new born baby.
Naaman was an incurable leper, sick, ashamed, despised, depressed and unhappy and he needed total recovery. He did not waste away in idle inaction, he took the journey after he got the information of the man of God, he sought divine remedy, corrected his mistake and wrong attitude and thinking, and eventually, obeyed and had total recovery. This is your story tonight.
The message tonight is titled THE SPIRITUAL DYNAMICS OF TOTAL RECOVERY.
A. THE PROMISE OF TOTAL RECOVERY FROM ALL SICKNESSES (Exodus 15:26; Psalm 103:1-4; Jeremiah 33:36; Luke 4:18-21)
God has given you a promise of total recovery from all sicknesses (Exodus 15:26 - And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee). Every form of sickness you hear about from anybody in the world will not come near you. You are not an Egyptian, you are the Israel of God. All sicknesses will pack their loads and go.
The latter part of this verse says, “... for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” This is in present tense, “I am, I am” which indicates that it is continuous and that tonight, it will happen, the great I AM is alive.
Psalm 103:1-5. Others have been praising the Lord, singing, and giving testimonies, it is your turn now. You are cured and healed, the Lord will remove every condemnation and confusion from your life. He redeems your life from destruction, you are free! Evil, yokes, calamity and all powers of darkness will pass you by. Tonight, you have full recovery! Amen.
Jeremiah 33:3. There is answer, miracle, and provision tonight. You will see what you have never seen or heard. God is giving you more tonight.
vs 5. God will give you health and cure. You are cured and healed tonight. God will reveal to us the abundance of peace, no more commotion and condemnation in your life.
Luke 4:18-21
• 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
• 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
• 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
• 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
This is the day of recovery, miracle and answered prayers. Today is this word of God fulfilled in our ears and lives. Amen and Amen.
B. THE PURSUIT OF TOTAL TOTAL RECOVERY OF LOST STRENGTH (Isaiah 40:28-31; Isaiah 35:35,8-10; 41:10-16; 52:1-2; 54:2-4,17 Psalm 20:1-5)
Something new is coming into your life tonight. You will catch and get what you are looking for and expecting.
Isaiah 4:28-31. If you are tired, weak, when you recover tonight, the strength of God will come into your life. There will be mighty renewal of your strength and health. Every weakness of your body is taken away. All dead cells in your body are renewed tonight. Your strength and age shall be renewed like the eagle’s. All the pain at the back, head, throat are swept away. Your strength is renewed. No mountain will hinder your progress. You have stayed too long in the valley, you will mount up with wings like the eagle, you will run and not be weary. Now, you will walk and even run, your legs are strengthened. Every debilitating diseases in your body are swept away.
Isaiah 35:3-10
• 3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
• 4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
• 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
• 6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
• 7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
• 8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
• 9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
• 10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
vs 3-4. Angels and heaven are declaring to you tonight, be strong! Fear not! Weakness, pain and impossibility will vanish away. Your God will come and save you. The eyes of the blind shall be opened. Dimness of sight will be taken away. You will see brightly. The ear of the deaf shall be unstopped. The lame man will leap for joy and the dumb will sing. No lion or ravenous beast in your way anymore.
ch 41:10-16. The Saviour, Deliverer, Provider says He is with you. Miracle has come tonight. He said He will help you. Abundance of waters shall be in place of dryness and parchness. The Deliverer, and Provider says He is your Provider. The wind shall carry away your problem, difficulty, sorrow, sighing, joblessness, poverty shall flee away. You shall rejoice in the Lord.
ch 52:1-2. You have been lying down with insects, cockroaches and all problems of the forests crawling around you. Rise, and shake yourself from the dust. Your strength and power of God upon you is coming back today.
ch 54:2-4,17
Increase and enlargement has come. You will break forth to the right and to the left. Your seed shall inherit the lots of the Gentiles. You will not be put to shame. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Anywhere out there: in the community, on the road, on the seat, the food you eat, the water you drink, in the taxi, on the road, in the dream, in the night and day, everywhere, it is well with you. Your righteousness is the Lord’s.
Psalm 20:1-5
• 1 (To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
• 2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
• 3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
• 4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
• 5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
The Lord shall fulfill all our petitions. That good thing you lost you will get back tonight. I am healed, I am and achiever, I am blessed
C. THE PRAYER FOR TOTAL RECOVERY BY EVERY SUPPLICANT. Psalm 65:2; 61:1-2; Mark 9:22; 11:22-24)
A supplicant is someone who is praying. Tonight, you will not leave here until your prayers are answered. Something greater, higher, better, richer, farther to the top is on your way. Only have faith in God. All things are possible in your life.
Mark 9:22. The father did not know that Jesus is compassionate and is ever willing to help. As you believe, all things are possible unto you.
ch 11:22-24
• 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
• 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
• 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
vs 23. Whosoever is you believing in God tonight. All your problems are cast into the sea of forgetfulness. I will have whatsoever I ask. God will answer, and total recovery for everyone tonight. God will answer everyone. Total recovery for every one tonight.
God always answer:
• Fervent prayer
• Faith anchored prayer
• Prevailing prayer
• Importunate prayer - the one that keeps on knocking until all petitions are answered. God will answer you tonight.
• Undeniable prayer - prayer like that of Jacob who said "I will not let you go unless you bless me".
• Heaven-piercing prayer - prayer that will be so fervent that it will pierce heaven and answers will come down.
• Strength-restoring prayer - prayer that will renew and restore your spiritual and physical strength.
• Life-transforming prayer - prayer that will transform your life
• Darkness-dispelling prayer - prayer that will dispel all darkness from your life.
• Yoke-breaking prayer - prayer that will break every curse, yoke, and heavy load on your neck, in the family
• Destiny-changing prayer - the prayer you will pray and your life will change forever.
Rise and talk to the Lord. To Him who answers all prayers shall all flesh come.
