MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.
TOPIC: EMMANUEL, THE MIGHTY GOD WITH US.
TEXT: MATTHEW 1:21-23; ISAIAH 7:14; 9:6-7.
Everybody praises the Lord. Am happy to see your face in Lagos again. We've been up, down, right, left, front, back, everywhere, and now, Lagos time. And what a subject we are talking about? Emmanuel. Today, tomorrow, the next day, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, I know you will be there. And then, for the retreat session, Emmanuel, we can not exhaust everything heaven has revealed concerning Emmanuel. And as you come, as you participate, the Mighty God will visit you. Great, unforgettable, unprecedented miracles will happen in your life, happen all around you, and this will be beyond 2021, unforgettable in every life. We are coming to Matthew 1. From there, we see an angel appear unto Joseph and reveal to him what was in the Mary's womb. The divine owner of the whole universe is with us to save, to redeem, to heal, to deliver us from every problem this world has brought to us. And as you bring everything you have to the Lord at this time, God will be with you, the healer will be with you in the practical, definite way IN Jesus Name. This is the prophecy that had been given at the time of Isaiah, 700 years before Christ came into this world. He assures us that the One coming, the Saviour, the Healer will set us free from everything that Adam and Eve brought into the world. The Lord of the host will manifest Himself in your life. There's going to be a performance in your life. He has remembered us as He remembered the whole world, when the world was languishing that the world could not deliver herself from, then God in His mercy sent His only begotten Son. Always remember that with you, Emmanuel will save you, He will heal you, and whatever yoke may be in your life, Emmanuel will shatter every yoke in your life IN Jesus Name.
POINT ONE: THE PROPHECY CONCERNING THE COMING OF EMMANUEL.
ISAIAH 7:14; GENESIS 3:15; LUKE 1:31-37; 24:44-45.
Eventually, Emmanuel came to this world, and He lived a perfect, sinless life and Holy life. And the He died for us on the Cross of Calvary, and everything He came to do is available for us so that we can benefit from the arrival of Emmanuel. If God does anything, He has an eternal reason that still continues today. The Lord said when Christ comes, He will reverse the curse that Adam and Eve brought into the world, and He will cancel the negative effects of the fall on the life of everyone. And everything that comes to you today is coming from the Lord. What God has planned is unique. It has never happened to any woman in the world, without any intercourse with a man, Mary conceived miraculously and without the aid of any man on earth. After Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and they sold themselves unto Satan, then the curse came and immediately because of the repercussions of that rebellion, the Lord promised that the Redeemer will come and set us free. When Christ comes, He will bruise the head of the serpent. And in your life as you allow Emmanuel to come, in your life today He will bruise the head of the devil in your life. Because Christ was hanged on the Cross and He had died on the Cross, now is the time for you to realize that the head of the devil is brutalized, destroyed from your life IN Jesus Name. Angel Gabriel talked to Mary concerning the conception of Jesus Christ, the angel said it to Joseph in Matthew, and he now said it to virgin Mary in Luke, that He shall be called Emmanuel, He will come into your life today, He will rule in your life today and forever IN JESUS Name. He will reign over every area of your life IN Jesus' Name. His rulership over your life will never end. Eventually, when He comes to reign over Israel as a nation, that reign will continue forever, He will reign over the world forever and ever. You have the privilege today that Christ will reign in your life. And wherever He reigns, evil shall vanish away, sin, all the consequences of sin will vanish away from your life IN Jesus Name. Mary was a virgin, and that's what Isaiah and Genesis have said, that Christ shall come from the seed of a woman. When you receive JESUS, you receive Him as a Son of God, and the miracle of conversion, miracle of transformation and of a change nobody can do in your life, that miracle will come IN Jesus Name. In that salvation, there's a miracle of healing. There's forgiveness of sin and total deliverance from all the chains that bind you from the past. The conception of Jesus was a miracle, His birth was a miracle, and when He comes to your life, what He does in your life, the Salvation, the healing is a miracle, and then He sustains you to keep on living the righteous life by the presence of the Son of God in you, and your getting to heaven is a miracle. The miracle of the conception of Christ, the miracle of His birth, the miracle of our reconciliation with God, and the miracle of righteousness in your life will never stop in Jesus Name. With God, nothing shall be impossible. A virgin who did not know a man and then conceived by the Holy Ghost and brought forth Emmanuel because with God, nothing shall be impossible. The people who do not believe in the virgin birth forget that with God, nothing shall be impossible. They are unbelievers. But because they do not realize that with God, nothing is impossible, they think it's impossible to live the righteous life. They do not believe that Christ in us will heal us. Because you believe in the miracles of God and because you believe He will make you live a victorious life, with God nothing shall be impossible, confirmation in your life IN Jesus Name. All things written concerning Christ will be fulfilled, and thank God it has been fulfilled and there's a fulfilment in your life IN Jesus' Name.
POINT TWO: THE PURPOSE CLARIFIED IN THE COMING OF EMMANUEL.
MATTHEW 1:21-23; 1 JOHN 3:5-10; HEBREWS 7:25-26; TITUS 2:11-14.
God Himself clarified why He sent Jesus Christ. The purpose is that He will save us from sins. Everyone in this world has his sins because all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. You might not have the sin of another person, but you have your own sins, and those sins will hinder you from getting to the presence of God forever and ever. That's once sin came into the life of Adam and Eve, they were driven away from the garden of Eden because no sin, no sinner will be allowed to abide in the presence of God forever and ever, and if we are going to be in the presence of God forever, we must be saved from our sins, and it's only Jesus Christ who can do that because the Father has given Jesus to us as Saviour. It's not just coming to the religion gathering. There are many people coming to the religion gathering, and they are not saved. They are not set free from their sins. What Christ has come to do is not to make us religious, is to make us righteous. He takes sin out of us. That's what Christ will do for you tonight. He will take every sins you have committed. Today is that glorious day when JESUS will take sin from you and take you away from sin, and there will be a separation between you and sin. Christ reconciles us with God. He brings your personality to the person of Almighty God, and He comes to live inside us. That's what He wants to do for you, and that's the meaning of Emmanuel. If you will allow Him to come into your life, He will come and live in you, He will be guiding you and providing everything heavenly in your life. He will support you all the time, and He will continue to supply the grace that will make you live a victorious life. He came to take away our sins. The people who struggle by themselves to take away sin can not do that, just like they can not empty the ocean with a cup at a time. They can not succeed. Only Christ is able to take all the sins away because He's the only Saviour. When you surrender yourself to Christ completely, He's able to take away your sins, and He sets you free. If that had not happened in your life, that's why God did not allow you to die before this time because He doesn't want you to die in your sin without giving Him a chance to take away all your sin. He wants you to save. He wants you holy, that's why you are here tonight. The Lord will favour you with salvation IN Jesus' Name. When Christ lives within you every day, He strengthens you every moment, and if you abide in Christ, you will not continue sinning habitually. Going to church does not solve problem, there are many people that go to church everyday and yet they are still sinning, they are still telling lies, they are still full of deception and the lust of flesh, although they keep on going to church, but tonight things will change, Emmanuel will come in and abide in your life, your life will be transformed, everything will change IN Jesus Name. Sin does not originate from God, sin does not originate in Christ and it does not originate from the Holy Spirit, sin does not come from God, wickedness, cruelty, killing the other people, deception, lies etc.. Does not originate from God. Anyone that is still continuing in sin and transmitting sin and distributing sin to the lives of other people is of the devil. From the very beginning, Satan had been a sinner before he deceived Adam and Eve, and for this purpose, Jesus came to save us. He was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil. If in your life the works of the devil are raging and reigning, you will not fulfil the purpose of why Christ came. Examine your life. If Christ comes today and those sins are still there, you will not leave eternally with God. It's only the salvation of Christ that comes to us that get us to heaven. The Bible is very clear, if you claim to be a child of God and you're still violent in your life, stealing, doing evil, that one is not acceptable in heaven, when you're born again, you will not commit sin. With God, nothing shall be impossible, salvation, transformation of life, total conversion, all that is possible with God. Christ does not call us unto religion but unto righteousness. Christ is Holy, harmless, and when He comes to our lives, He makes us like Himself. That's the purpose of His coming. He makes us Holy, harmless, separate from sinners, and takes us to sit with Him in heavenly places. When the grace of God comes to you, salvation, forgiveness, freedom, transformation, and a change of life will come, we deny ungodliness, and we deny everything of the world and fleshly lust. If you're not Holy here, you will not get to heaven. We live soberly, righteously in this world, that's the purpose Emmanuel came, and the purpose has been clarified. He does want any iniquity to remain in our lives, the purpose He came is that God is with us and God will not approve of sinners, God will not live in the sinners, He saves us and redeems us from all iniquity.
POINT THREE: THE PRIVILEGE CONFIRMED THROUGH CONVERSION BY THIS EMANCIPATOR.
ACTS 3:19-26; 15:3,28-29; JAMES 5:19-20; PSALMS 53:5-13.
The privilege is available for everyone. Our Emmanuel is the emancipator, that's why He came, and tonight He will do in your life what you couldn't do by yourself, He will break the chains in your life, He will break that evil propensity and bad habit in your life. Christ has come, He will set you free tonight. We have this opportunity that Emmanuel came, and what He came to do is still available for us today, but we need to show that we desire, we want to have what He has brought, and in your life as you show the desire and you turn away from that sin that nailed Christ to the Cross, He will turn your life around and change your life IN Jesus Name. Quit all those places of sin, quit all that habit of sin, repent and turn away from sin God hates, when you are converted, you are not like you used to be, everything becomes totally different, when Christ see that you repent and turn away from sin, He says He will blot out your sin. The time of refreshing, the time of renewal will come tonight. Christ never appears in any place empty-handed. If truly Christ comes anywhere, in any life, there must be a new life. Jesus will bless you. The beginning of that blessing is turning away people from iniquity. That's the first blessing. He will turn you away from every iniquity, He will turn you away from every depression and sickness. Everything you have found impossible, from tonight, Jesus enters afresh, and impossibility will be made possible. Tonight, the doors will open because Christ comes, and He turns you away from every iniquity IN Jesus' Name. Christ wants to effect change in your life, joy in your life, the joy of Salvation, the joy of healing and miracle in your life IN Jesus' Name. Some people were saved before, but they fall from their steadfastness, and they become backsliders. The Lord wants to work conversion in their lives, too. The backslider needs conversion, grace of God, and transformation. If you are gone back into sin, you will be converted today. If you are not restored again, you will face eternal death. But it's when you come to the Lord and you realize what you've been doing, the Lord shall save you from the error of your way, and all those sins you've committed will be hidden away from eternal judgment IN Jesus Name. Tonight is that night that in your life, Emmanuel will save you, and new life will come, and then you will begin to live in the righteous life of Christ IN Jesus' Name. God desires truth in the inward part, in your inner nature, He desire truth, He doesn't want deception, when you live in Christ, you will not live in sin and when you're living in sin, you are not living in Christ. He wants truth in the inward part, He does not want hated, adultery, fornication, fraud, drunkenness living in the heart, He wants truth hidden in your inward part. Tonight He will cleanse you, He will wash you and make you ready to be in the presence of God IN Jesus Name. He doesn't want you to wash moderately, He wants to wash you until you're whiter than snow. With God, nothing shall be impossible. When Emmanuel comes in, God with His redemption will come, salvation has joy, sin has sorrow, when you go into sin, your conscience pinch you, sin has sadness, suffering and if somebody does not repent here now, it will be sadness and sorrow forever and ever. But when we are saved, we open our hearts to God. Salvation, reconciliation with God will bring joy, the Lord will do it. After you have the JOY of salvation and gladness of the gospel walking in you, then you will teach transgressors the ways of God and sinners shall be converted unto God. It's a waste of time trying to tell others to come to Christ when you are outside Christ, telling others about salvation, you have theory in the head but you don't have practical experience of Salvation in your soul. Emmanuel has come, our Healer has come, and because He has come, He has come to you today and He says everything that brings condemnation He will wipe out of your life, everything that brings bondage in iniquity He will break away, He will set you free from affliction, tonight is your night, He will do it and nothing will hinder Him IN Jesus Name.
